Sensations: this great wine stands out from its very first appearance: impenetrable in its dark, near-black violet color, it expresses to the eye both its maximum extractive concentration and the full ripeness of its rich, native berry. With its balsamic notes of pristine and finely calibrated spice, on the nose it evokes blackberry preserve glazed with pure vanilla. Finally, the palate is a display it is hard to say whether more of texture or of flavor balance — a lush, seductive fruit sensation that, for density and richness, has few equals in Italy.
