Born on December 15, 1953 in Messina, he grew up in Milan from 1956. He was born into a Sicilian noble
family, whose nearest heraldic references are: his paternal grandmother, Michelangela Verga (niece of Giovanni Verga,
the father of "literary verism" and one of the greatest Sicilian/Italian writers of all time).
Documents found during 7 years of research into the Zullo family pedigree, Sicilian branch, trace
the same origin to the island of Rhodes in Greece during
the time of the "Knights of Rhodes."
Curriculum Vitae
He studied at the Umanitaria
in the "School of the Book" under Albe Steiner from 1968 to 1974, where he obtained
degrees as Graphic Assistant, Cartographer, and Serigrapher; at the same time,
he became an Art Master and Graphics expert at the Institute of Art in Monza.
His professional career began before he finished his studies at the school of Albe Steiner with
an apprenticeship for advancement. He enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic
of Milan but only successfully completed two examinations.
He started working in advertising
as an art director assistant in 1975 at "Young & Rubicam",
whose clients included: RANK XEROX (photocopiers), LANCIA GAMMA (cars), KNORR
(bouillon cubes).
In 1976 he was recruited
as a junior art director by the "Masius & D'Arcy Mac Manus Italy" company,
whose clients included: PALMOLIVE (soap), KITEKAT (cat food, billboard
campaign during the period 1976/84 and TV advertising campaign in 1976/77),
FILA SPORTSWEAR, Pandoro BAULI (press campaign and "Carosello" TV advertising).
At the end of 1977 he
began his work as art director consultant at "Pubbli-Market", whose
clients included: Porto COCKBURN'S Special Reserve, RIVALTA SCRIVIA, "Tirrenia"
shipping company.
In 1979 he joined "P&T" company as an
art director, where he handled the following
clients: POLENGHI LOMBARDO (food), LA RINASCENTE Città Mercato (large-scale
retail), SAN GIORGIO (washing machines), TOTIP (horse racing lottery),
DATSUN (cars), BLACK & DECKER (hardware), BANCA COMMERCIALE ITALIANA.
In 1980 he moved to the
USA where he collaborated with "Ogilvy & Mather" in San Francisco
and then in New York. His clients included: MACADAMIA NUTS (salted nuts), HERTZ
(car rental), CALIFORNIA FIRST BANK (Silver Lion at the Cannes Festival
in 1982).
During the second half of
1981 in Italy, he began working as a freelancer on FIAT Panda and Uno
(cars), AMARO RAMAZZOTTI (alcoholic beverages), INNOCENTI 3 (cars), FRUIT
OF THE LOOM (t-shirts), MATTEL Intellivision (video games, first release
on the Italian market), SAN PELLEGRINO Nano Ghiacciato (aperitif), CEPPI
RATTI (toys, shortlisted at the Cannes Festival in 1982), ALEMAGNA (launch
of champagne-flavored "Panettone" in 1983).
In 1984 he worked in Düsseldorf
for the BBDO agency on the launch of various car models by AUDI; in
Italy he worked for SSC&B Lintas clients: MERCEDES (cars, launch of the "200/300"
series), FINDUS/IGLOO (frozen food, 1984/97 Sofficini campaign: this
advertising message was broadcast in 10 European countries at the express
request of the international board), Cuore Verde, and all minor products.
As a freelancer he worked with
the companies: DIM (stockings), ROSY (corsets), PERONI (beer), BONTEMPI
(electric organs).
In 1986, he opened Art
Director's Studio, which acquired the following accounts: ACQUASONIC, FISELDEM
(household appliances), MOBILI EUROCASA national billboard campaign during the period
1987/88/89, GRUPPO DUOMO ASSICURAZIONI, IMETEC (irons), SILTAL (household
appliances) international campaign in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece,
coordinated imagery for 12 countries, VORWERK FOLLETTO (strategy evolved
from door-to-door selling to "home service"), BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM (pharmaceutical
products) Gerovit launch, PATE' D'ETE' Corp. (teen fashion),
GIORGIO MONDADORI EDITORE: Bell'Italia, Airone Junior, Gardenia.
In 1993,
in cooperation with the clients PATE' D'ETE' Corp. and
HEINEKEN (beer; billboard/TV/press campaign in
15 Central American countries), he opened
Art Director's Factory Inc. in New York City, and subsequently established
Advertising Factory Inc. alongside it.
Advertising Factory Inc. was the first creative company and agency
born on the Internet (New York, January 1993).
By registering its name as a domain, it in fact inserted
the word "advertising" into the most powerful means of communication invented by human beings
to date.

1, 2, 3 Michelin stars to simple restaurants/pizzerias, allows him to have a decidedly broad and
in-depth vision of the sector. Attendance at the most important events in the sector both in Italy and
abroad completes his experience as one of the leading experts in the field.
Sommelier, soon to obtain an AIS diploma at the express request of the president of the prestigious
Italian Sommelier Association.
