Already known as a "traditional" winery, Bodegas Platé of Tenerife, the only producer in the world, is the creator of one of the spearheads of the selection of typical products of the islands: Banana Wine (Platano Canario IGP), as original as delicious. Obtained from the cold fermentation of bananas and characterized by fruity aromas which bring to mind tropical landscapes. The banana, introduced into the splendid archipelago by Portuguese sailors around the 6th century AD, has found ideal soil and environment to settle and become a true and proper native and recognized fruit. Due to the principle of the fight against waste, which is the foundation of this winery, other variants of this wine have been created, such as blackberry or maracuja-based sparkling wines (the banana base obviously remains), further widening the offer with vinegar creams of tropical and exotic fruits. The proposals in the catalog of "Gusto Canario" continue with exotic fruit jams (with a fruit content of up to 75%) and aloe barbadensis (the best variety of Aloe on the planet), grown on the island of El Hierro. Dozens of references that the three Italian entrepreneurs, residents in the Canary Islands, have decided to bring first in Italy and, from there, throughout Europe, after a very careful research of producers, products, and their history. Thanks to the logistical base of "Gusto Canario" in Naples, it becomes easy to appreciate these exclusive flavors quickly, throughout the country.
